Open Data Kit (ODK) is a free, open-source set of tools that allows data collection using Android mobile devices and data submission to an online server. This course shall serve as an introduction to ODK covering the entire ODK system ranging from the basics, creating an XLSform, creating a project, using ODK Collect and monitoring your data from an ODK aggregator.
Webinars shall be accompanied by a range of activities that users will be able to take part in, including the process of creating your own ODK form. The intention being to help researchers develop skills in mobile data collection which could be very useful in their current projects and any future ones as well.
This course shall build upon an existing collection of tutorial videos on the ODK system that have already been prepared. These videos will additionally be incorporated into the webinar series.
All resources associated with this course will be available through the moodle site, details of which will be made available to all participants in this course.
